There is a risk of physical injuries during sports activities. It is the participants’ responsibility and decision to take part in any particular activity during the event. Attendees participate in the event at their own risk. Organizers do not take any responsibility for participants’ physical injuries or health issues.

Participants are required to follow event rules and make sure they behave in a manner that would limit the occurrence or severity of any possible health issues. This includes but is not limited to:

  • participants should not be present at the event if they are feeling sick and show symptoms of infectious disease,
  • participants should maintain good hygiene and regularly use hand disinfectants,
  • participants should stay properly hydrated,
  • participants should not take part in any activity for which they know could be risky for them due to a preexisting condition,
  • participants should not force or encourage other attendees to take part or perform any movements that could be dangerous to the other attendees,

Should a participant knowingly behave in a risky way, especially if the behaviour could be dangerous to other participants, the event director reserves the right to limit access to the event to such a participant.

Participants agree to any potential additional health and safety measures that may or may not be implemented by the event organizer at any time, including but not limited to the usage of face masks, SARS-CoV-2 vaccination policy, SARS-CoV-2 test policy, etc.

Your registration is considered pending until payment is received. Payment must be completed within 7 days of registration. Once payment is confirmed, your ticket is officially secured. If payment is not received within this timeframe, the organizer reserves the right to cancel your registration. To attend the event, you would need to register again at the current ticket price at the time of re-registration.

Payment for Full Pass, Party Pass, Competition must be done with:
stripe (early bird, normal bird, party pass, merch, daily party pass)
bank transaction (normal bird, party pass, merch, daily party pass)
cash on the spot (competitions, merch, daily party pass)

In case of cancellation by the participant, we shall offer a payment refund in the following tiers:

  • For cancellation requests received up to and including 31st of May 2025, the received payment will be refunded partially – 50% of the received payment.
  • For cancellation requests received after 1st of June 2025 or later, the received payment will not be refunded as we need to cover festival cost (read pricing page)
  • You can re-sell your paid ticket to someone else (the same level) – leader to leader, follower to follower.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and are only valid once confirmed by the organizer. Any costs incurred during the refund process will be covered by the participant and deducted from the refunded amount.

Participants who have purchased a ticket but cannot attend the event may transfer their ticket to another person. Leaders may only transfer their tickets to another leader (depending on the current ratio of registrations). All ticket transfers must be communicated in written form via email, and confirmed to both parties by the organizer. Free and discounted passes are not transferable. Transfer requests must be submitted via email at least 7 days before the event starts. An administration fee of 15 € is charged for a ticket transfer. You can pay for this fee at the registration spot. Complimentary free passes are not transferable. You can not transfer your ticket to the next year.

The event organizer reserves the right to cancel the event due to low registrations or force majeure (e.g. fire, storms, epidemic state, and other natural disasters). In such cases, ticket holders will either be refunded their ticket price in full or given a voucher – option to transfer their ticket to a future event. Other claims against the event organizer are not possible.

The event program is non-binding. Should a teacher cancel for whatever reason, the event organizer reserves the right to find a replacement teacher or omit parts of the program. In case the program changes or parts of the program are not realized (e.g. a teacher is not participating because of illness or cancelled flights etc.), but the event still takes place, no refund will be offered. The event organizer may or may not find alternatives to the omitted program.

Our event is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, staff, and volunteers. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory behavior toward anyone based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic that might be used to target a minority group, or any other actions that could be considered intimidating, hostile, or unwelcome.

Any attendee, participant, staff member, or volunteer found to be engaging in any such behavior will be subject to immediate action. This action may include removal from the event without refund, prohibition from future events, and reporting to the appropriate authorities. We encourage anyone who experiences or witnesses any acts of hate or harassment to report the incident as soon as possible to event organizers or volunteers for immediate review and response.

Our commitment to a hate-free environment extends beyond the event premises and into all related activities, including online interactions and social media conduct. We aim to foster a community spirit where respect and kindness are the cornerstones of all interactions and exchanges.

By registering, participants agree that their personal information data is collected by the event organizer and used for statistics, informational use, or marketing of future events.
Any data collected will be stored securely and available only to the organizing team. The event organizer’s responsibility is not to share the collected data with any 3rd parties.

The event organizer cannot be held responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of personal items or physical injuries during the event. There is a risk of physical injuries during dance activities. It is the participants’ responsibility and decision to do any dance activity during the event. Do your best to be careful – for yourself and, for others as well!

Any items that are found during the event, should be brought to the event organizer, who will store them in a designated ‘Lost & Found’ area until the end of the event. Any such items can be collected in person by the end of the event. Should there still be any uncollected items after the event, the event organizer will store them for another 14 days. In that time owners can email the event organizer to have their items returned by post. In such case, the item owner will carry all costs of packaging and delivery, as well as take responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft that may happen during the delivery.

Participants must wear the wristband at all times. It is mandatory to show the wristband upon request at any time during the event.
Participants must accept the decisions of the teachers and the event organizer during the event and especially during the audition.
If a participant fails to comply with any of the aforementioned terms, the organizer is entitled to withdraw the participant’s pass and ask them to leave the event without refund of any fees.

Registration
Registration opens on 28th of April 2025. We have limited spots for Early Bird Full Workshop Pass, Normal Bird Full Workshop Pass, Full Party pass and Daily Party Pass.
Full Workshop Pass includes 8h of dance workshop with all teachers, 5 parties with live band, Entrance to Competitions (additional payment and registration), Ljubljana City tour, discounted option for booking a room with a code (special price)
Full Party Pass doesn’t include workshop, but includes 5 parties, Entrance to Competition (additional payments), Ljubljana City Tour, discounted option for booking a room with a code (special price)
3 Day Party Pass includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday party.
1 Day Party Pass includes party pass by your choice (Friday or Saturday or Sunday).

How to Register?
Go to HaniBal Registration site and pick you pass. We would like to have the festival balanced, that’s why we suggest registering in a couple (must be the same level). A single application is possible but might be put on a waiting list until there is a match for you. If you later find a partner, please share the information so that they can add your name as a partner in the form.
Click the Add to Cart button, check the items and Proceed to Checkout, fill the details and choose payment option. In Order notes fill your Partners name, and Place order. Partner needs to register and provide your name as well. If you don’t have a partner, you will be put on a waiting list until finding someone. With your order and payment you agree with our policies, terms, and conditions. Click ‘Submit’.

The Place order concludes the registration process and provides you with selected dance partners, a notification will be sent to you. You will receive an additional notification concerning the payment if you choose payment with bank account. These notifications will be sent to the provided e-mail.

Waiting list
Solo dancers (leaders or followers) will be put directly on a waiting list. You will receive confirmation of your registration. Payment details will be sent to you after you find a dance partner or when we match you up with someone. If you find a dance partner before we make a match please do let us know.

By registering, participants agree that during the event the event organizer may collect graphic material which includes participants’ images, including but not limited to video recordings, photos, audio recordings, etc. All graphic material obtained during the event may be publicly published, shared on social networks, and/or used for promotional purposes for future events.

Event participants are also allowed to take their photos, audio recordings, and video recordings during the event. They may share such materials freely as they see fit, and event organizer cannot be held accountable for their usage.

It is not allowed to take recordings (video or audio) of teachers or attendees during the workshops unless granted explicit permission by the event organiser or teacher.

Participants have to accept the decisions of the teachers and organizers during the event and especially during the audition.
Suppose a participant fails to comply with any of the aforementioned terms. In that case, the organizer is entitled to withdraw the participant’s pass and ask him/her to leave the event without a refund of any fees. We reserve to right to change the time or location of the evening dances and will communicate any changes on our website and/or social accounts of Festival Hanibal. The organizer can decide not to have the audition.

We can ask you to leave the festival without any refunds given if you don’t behave appropriately.

Before attendance, inform yourself about the Covid policies and regulations and adhere to them while attending.
Participants have to wear wristbands at all times. It is mandatory to show the wristband at the entry of classes and parties.
Underaged participants (<18 years) have to have a legal guardian after midnight to be allowed to stay at the event. Please give us your legal guardian’s name when you check-in.
